The Acupressure and Massage Therapy Technician Program is an exciting and dynamic training program in acupressure and massage therapy. While part of the focus of this program includes Eastern healing methods from Acupuncture and Chinese Tuina (massage), the Academy provides a modern and medically based perspective on these healing arts.
You will also train in clinical techniques, pathology, hygiene, cross infection, clinical hydrotherapy, business and professional practices, professional ethics and law, and therapeutic modalities such as the use of heat and cold in patient treatment. Acupressure is an ancient form of health care and is built upon centuries of practice. You will have learned how to provide complete acupressure and massage therapy treatments and will be certified in acupressure and massage therapy.

How to treat patient problems with acupressure
How to use and apply Tuina (medical massage)
How to work with Eastern and Western theories of disease and healing
How to use topical medicated liniments and ointments
How to use Chinese herbal medicines as herbal first aid
How to use therapeutic modalities such as heat, cold, and laser therapy
Therapeutic exercise therapy is combined with the Acupressure and Massage Program. You will learn how to practice these exercise arts and how to instruct your patients to use these exercises to correct their health care problems.
